Of blogs and Pugs...and water...

What can I say...I have not been a very good bloggy-pug. My adventures have not been happening as much as they should. I'm an adventure pug, and need the excitement! Some of it was the nasty pug melting summer heat, some of it is my 'Rents having busy lives away from me (blasphemy!)...

My last big adventure was at Shadow Cliffs, where I found out I am addicted to swimming. Yes, I can swim, and love to do it. My confidence is growing, I wanna swim! Much to my Mum's dismay. Snort!

A few days ago, we went to Pt. Isabel...LOTS of water! And I made a mad-pug-dash to the giant rocks, which lead to the stinky water. It kinda smelled like the water that attacks you at the beach, that rushes in and grabs at your paws...that angry beach water scares me...but this stinky water didn't seem angry, and all the other dogs were having lots of fun. So, I went for it, and was immediately me with the stern voice of discipline, like only a Mother can..."BELLS! STAY OUT OF THE WATER..." Of course, I didn't listen..."BELLATRIX...COME...HERE..." of course I didn't listen...I almost made it, then  I heard the sound of the treat bag, and nothing, not even water fun can interfere with treats....Daddy said it was a bribe...not sure what that meant. Anyways, I ran back to my 'Rents...

We walked around some more, and I saw the giant rocks, but this time, the water was gone! All that was left was stinky, gooey mud...I think my 'Rents took it away...

I will have another swim adventure...hopefully soon....

  1. Bells, Brigitte said to tell you that she has learned that she is only allowed to swim when the rents are swimming too. Maybe that's a rule at your house too. I think there should be some shoe pooping in retaliation for you not getting daily adventures. No adventure= shoe poop!

  2. Scarlet thinks you're super brave, Bella-T. Or maybe she's just too much of a princess to get her paws wet. Either way, we vote for more adventures for you!

  3. Oh Belly, I love to swim but not in the cold weather! In the summer when it is reasonably hot here I like nothing better than a paddle in the lake and meet other dogs cooling off too! I think you are so good to listen to your Mom (I mean the treat bag) when called and agree that treats are indeed priority! Hope to hear some adventures from you soon, Love and Puggy Hugs from your Furiend Frank XxxxxxxX

  5. Bells, I don't want to tarnish your bad-ass rep, but you look so cute in that pic! We can't wait until next year to see if D&D are swimmers. ;-)

  6. Bella, sorry to hear you got denied a stinky aquatic adventure. But if being "bribed" meant you got a whole bag of treats, then I think things probably worked out for the best. Now, how exactly do I get my 'rents to bribe me? Hmmmm.

    Sid.

    1. Sid! Hope yer ok after the big storm...Here's a secret...pick a trick or something that you Rents think you dont know, but you really do. Then, when they "teach" you how to do it, make sure you kinda screw it up, but get enough right so they give you a treat for each try. Keep the routine going, and you'll get a lot of treats...I do this spin trick and my Daddy's been fallng for my little treat scam for months....snort!

  7. We love your adventures, Bellatrix. You're a very active pug.

And your so brave, I don't like water at all! My granny took me to a pond at her friend's house and splashed water on me, I didn't even want to get my feet wet! Eh, I hate wet feet!
